The level 1 Coach Education programme for Athletics Waikato BOP is now finalised.
These Level 1 modules are just 3 hours duration each and are invaluable for giving potential coaches a good grounding in specific events.
Level 1 is suitable for coaches wishing to coach up to junior high school level.
Some features of the 2008 programme:
* Sessions in different venues - Cambridge, Hamilton, Tauranga
* No date fixed for throws courses. We are seeking expressions of interest and we will choose a venue close to most people and set a date that the venue is available.

Managing Childrens track & Field events
The Wellington Centre has now produced an on-line handbook on how to manage and run children’s track & field events.
The idea of it is that you can copy and download
- the whole,
- the section on one event, or
- the “job description” for one of the officiating roles at any one event.
The handbook is intended for both Clubs and Schools, in the hope that we can both begin to conduct events in the same way.
